What you will do

• Own and develop area process improvements and the project portfolio for both new and existing products.
• Plan equipment layout and workflow to ensure safe and efficient utilization of plant resources.
• Coordinate Kaizen and continuous improvement activities based on RBS principles, including standard work, 5S, and one-piece flow.
• Lead the design and development of new methods, tooling, and test systems to reduce cycle time.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA, 5 Why, 8D) to troubleshoot quality issues and drive corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Mentor and coach peers and early-career engineers.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in statistical methods and software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Expertise in process control methodologies including DMAIC, 6 Sigma, Lean, and SPC.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO9001) and proficiency with tools like MSA, R&R, and PFMEA.
• Ability to work in an office and factory environment in Fairport, NY.

Nice to have

• Lean certifications (Green belt, Black belt).
• Working knowledge of Lab View and SolidWorks.
• Experience integrating automation technology and vision systems.
• CAPEX project management experience.
