What you will do

• Contribute to development, innovation, and upkeep of Airbnb’s OpenSearch ecosystem.
• Build systems to improve reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of OpenSearch infrastructure.
• Develop tooling to enhance developer experience for OpenSearch users.
• Collaborate and share improvements with the OpenSearch open source community.
• Participate in design workshops shaping Airbnb’s search platform.
• Engage in mentoring sessions to develop technical and professional skills.

Requirements

• Location: Based in Brazil.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years industry experience with bachelor’s or master’s degree; no prior experience required for PhD holders.
• Proficiency in Java programming language.
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch or OpenSearch is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
