What you will do

• Design and execute critical security components such as authentication and authorization within the hirify.globalsearch core engine.
• Optimize security performance and ensure robust data isolation for high-scale distributed systems.
• Implement cryptographic solutions to address complex customer use cases.
• Collaborate with InfoSec to manage vulnerabilities, using AI-driven tools for automated triage and investigation.
• Embed security best practices into new customer-facing features from the initial design phase.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Java internals, JVM memory management, and high-performance concurrency (lock-free code).
• Experience building scalable authorization systems and validating credentials/tokens in distributed environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems security, including zero-trust transport and cluster state propagation.
• Proficiency with edge identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and SAML.
• Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development and debug complex systems.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of TLS handshakes, PKI, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
• Experience with FedRAMP (Moderate/High), FIPS 140, and SOC 2 compliance.
• Background in developing the internals of a data store or search engine.
