What you will do

• Design and maintain large-scale telemetry pipelines for ingesting metrics, logs, traces, and network flow data from distributed telecom infrastructure.
• Develop ETL frameworks to normalize, enrich, and model telemetry data for real-time and historical analytics.
• Build advanced analytics datasets and dashboards to monitor network performance, traffic patterns, and service health.
• Implement monitoring and automated alerting mechanisms utilizing AI/ML and prediction algorithms to detect network anomalies.
• Architect network traffic acquisition models using packet brokers, TAPs, and traffic mirroring.
• Automate observability infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code and container orchestration.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Lisbon, Portugal
• Strong experience with Linux systems administration and operating distributed production systems in OSS environments.
• Experience with telecom service assurance platforms (e.g., NumoData, Radcom) and network traffic analysis techniques.
• Hands-on proficiency with the observability stack: Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo, and Grafana.
• Experience with telemetry collection and streaming: Vector, Telegraf, Fluentd, Kafka, SNMP, NetFlow, and IPFIX.
• Proficiency in data engineering with ETL platforms (e.g., Apache NiFi) and databases like ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Strong scripting and development skills in Python and Golang, with experience in Ansible and Helm.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, gNMI, gRPC streaming, OpenConfig, or eBPF.
• Experience building high-volume telemetry ingestion architectures and real-time event processing platforms.
• Knowledge of AI/ML predictive algorithms applied to performance monitoring.
• Experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS, Openstack), Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
