DevOps Support Engineer

TL;DR

DevOps Support Engineer: Supporting and evolving DevOps infrastructure with an accent on Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, and observability in a predominantly Windows environment. Focus on building repeatable deployments, integrating automation into pipelines, and ensuring secure, audited operations with strong incident/change governance.

Location: Hybrid — 2 times a week in the Porto office (requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit)

What you will do

• Deliver repeatable infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Python, and PowerShell (idempotent automation).
• Modernize and refactor PowerShell automation, including migration toward Ansible and Python aligned with DevOps best practices.
• Integrate infrastructure automation into CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket (Git), JFrog Artifactory, Jenkins, XL-Deploy, and XL-Release.
• Operate and govern services using ServiceNow and Jira (incidents, problems, changes, end-to-end traceability).
• Support observability and monitoring with Grafana, Zabbix, and ELK/Elastic APM, including performance/capacity testing with NeoLoad or k6.
• Manage secure secrets automation and work with messaging/event streaming and caching layers (CyberArk/Conjur, RabbitMQ/Kafka, Redis).

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code expertise using Ansible, Python, and PowerShell in a predominantly Windows environment, with strict focus on idempotence and repeatable deployments.
• Experience evolving PowerShell scripts (refactoring and/or migration to Ansible and Python).
• Hands-on CI/CD integration experience with Bitbucket (Git), JFrog Artifactory, Jenkins, XL-Deploy, and XL-Release.
• Experience with operational governance tools: ServiceNow and Jira (incidents, problems, changes, end-to-end traceability).
• Hybrid availability: 2 times a week in the Porto office and Portuguese or other EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit.
