What you will do

• Architect and deploy network security solutions across on-prem and Azure cloud environments.
• Manage Fortinet technologies including firewalls, SD-WAN, and security management suites.
• Implement and maintain Azure network security controls like NSGs, firewalls, and PIM.
• Monitor network traffic, respond to security incidents, and perform hardening audits.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network and system components.
• Develop documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in network or security engineering.
• 5+ years of direct experience with Fortinet solutions and Azure networking/security.
• 5+ years of experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) and automation.
• Experience with NDR solutions (e.g., Extrahop, Darktrace).
• Strong knowledge of DNS protocols and security systems design.
• Must be able to work on-site in Dallas, TX at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries.
• Certifications: CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or Azure AZ-500.
• Experience with threat modeling, Sigma rules, and YARA.
• Proficiency in additional languages like Go, Java, or Rust.
