TL;DR

Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Building secure-by-default cloud platforms across Azure and AWS with an accent on preventive controls, scalable guardrails, and Kubernetes security. Focus on engineering automation for network controls, CSPM, and identity access security to reduce manual effort and ensure compliance.

Location: Hybrid. Must be based in Toronto, Austin, Dallas, Ottawa, or Phoenix

What you will do

• Own security architecture, guardrails, and automation patterns across Azure and AWS.
• Evolve Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities, including policies and automated remediation.
• Engineer cloud network security controls, including segmentation, cloud-native firewalls, and WAF configurations.
• Define and enforce security best practices for AKS/EKS environments, including RBAC and cluster hardening.
• Manage identity and access security controls using least privilege and workload identity.
• Develop automation and self-service workflows using Infrastructure as Code and scripting.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in cloud security, security engineering, or cloud platform engineering.
• Deep hands-on security experience in Azure or AWS (experience across both strongly preferred).
• Expertise in securing production AKS/EKS environments, including network policies and admission controls.
• Proven experience with cloud network security, including firewalls and secure connectivity patterns.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
• Experience working in regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting compliance programs such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with cloud-based identity and access management (RBAC, service principals).
