What you will do

• Design, implement, and automate security solutions for cloud and virtualized environments.
• Review architecture designs to identify flaws and advocate for stronger security controls.
• Develop scripts and orchestration tools to enhance support for cloud and development systems.
• Conduct threat and risk assessments, including Proof of Concepts for new security initiatives.
• Collaborate with Cloud Platform, IT, and Product teams to align security strategies with business needs.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to team members and engineering staff.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree and 2+ years).
• Strong proficiency in cloud/virtualization technologies (AWS, HPC, MAAS) and Linux administration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, or Java) for automation.
• Deep understanding of network protocols, firewall management, and security standards (ISO27001, NIST 800-53).
