Senior Penetration Tester (Cybersecurity): Conducting advanced penetration tests on networks, APIs, and cloud applications to support FedRAMP and other regulatory compliance frameworks with an accent on vulnerability identification and remediation strategy. Focus on mentoring junior staff, leading Red Team operations, and maintaining high-level security standards for Fortune 500 clients.

Location: Must be based in or able to work in Herndon, VA or Seattle, WA (Hybrid). Position only open to US Citizens due to contractual requirements.

Salary: $165,000 – $185,000

What you will do

• Conduct penetration tests on networks, APIs, mobile, and web applications to identify security weaknesses.
• Develop and refine penetration testing methodologies and tools to adapt to evolving threats.
• Advise customers on remediation strategies and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and deliver final project reports and readouts to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members through knowledge-sharing and hands-on training.
• Coordinate project readiness and resolve client-facing blockers.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required due to contractual obligations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• 5+ years of professional experience in web application and network penetration testing.
• 4+ years of professional services or consulting experience.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Ability to work in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA or Seattle, WA.

Nice to have

• OSCP, OSCE, OSWE, GWAPT, or GPEN certifications.
• Experience with code review, reverse engineering, and exploit development.
• Background in cloud environment penetration testing.
• Experience developing technical content like whitepapers or blog posts.
