Senior Supplier Program Manager (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: East Syracuse, New York, United States; onsite role with up to 10% annual domestic and international travel. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Salary: $92,200–$115,300 annually.

What you will do

• Lead strategic management of critical suppliers, subcontractors, purchase orders, material schedules, and deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance against Statements of Work and track on-time delivery, risks, forecasts, and program metrics.
• Lead weekly Supply Chain meetings, quarterly Supplier Program Management reviews, and Quarterly Business Reviews with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Provide Supply Chain leadership with updates on accomplishments, milestones, actions, risks, and forecasted revenue commitments.
• Support proposal efforts with material cost and labor inputs and contribute to continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.
• Resolve technical and programmatic supplier issues and travel domestically and internationally in support of program execution and business development.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Secret Security Clearance.
• BA/BS degree with 5+ years of experience, or MBA/MS/JD degree with 3+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of procurement, including sourcing, supplier qualification, order placement, delivery tracking, and expediting.
• Experience navigating an ERP system and working with contracting methods and types.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, sound judgment, creativity, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Financial acumen, including the ability to determine cost reasonableness.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice to have

• 5 or more years of experience in a production and/or development environment, preferably in aerospace and defense.
• USG, DoD, or FAA contracts experience.
• Cross-functional experience with Quality, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, or Program Management.
• Continuous Improvement certification or experience, including Black Belt or Green Belt.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management Systems.
• Experience interacting with programs and reporting to business leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% in support of program and business development efforts.
• Ability to obtain a Secret-level clearance.
