TL;DR

Location: Remote teams in UK and Europe; Headquarters located in Dublin

What you will do

  • Lead hands-on incident response activities and act as the technical escalation point for the SOC.
  • Coordinate with outsourced SOC and internal IT teams on forensics, investigation, and remediation.
  • Drive improvements in real-time threat detection leveraging SIEM, EDR, and SOAR platforms.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and conduct regular readiness testing.
  • Partner with Vulnerability Management and Offensive Security teams to optimize monitoring use cases.
  • Ensure the integrity of incident records, audit trails, and continuous improvement actions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of cybersecurity or IT experience, with at least 6 years specifically in SOC or Incident Response roles.
  • Proven experience in digital forensics, event triaging, and direct involvement in cyber incidents.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SIEM, SOAR, and EDR platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, ZeroFox, Splunk).
  • Relevant certifications such as CISM, GIAC, OSCP, or CEH.
  • Experience managing outsourced SOC security services.
  • Strong crisis management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and modern attacker techniques.
  • Experience managing IR KPIs such as MTTD and MTTR.
  • Scripting and development skills for integrating cyber tools and automating responses.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting obligations (e.g., NIS2, GDPR, EASA Part-IS).
