What you will do

• Monitor XDR/SIEM alerts from a third-party SOC, investigate threats, and perform regular health checks on security agents.
• Conduct horizon scanning for emerging vulnerabilities and attacker techniques to coordinate timely remediation.
• Manage phishing triage and email quarantine monitoring to ensure malicious content is blocked according to SLAs.
• Maintain the risk register by logging risks, assigning owners, and advising stakeholders on remediation strategies.
• Initiate and coordinate the review cycle for security policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Handle client assurance by completing security questionnaires, RFIs, and reviewing security clauses in contracts.

Requirements

• Level 4 qualification in Information Technology or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role (2+ years preferred).
• Membership with the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) or equivalent bodies is essential.
• Working knowledge of UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018).
• Familiarity with network security, operating systems, and general security tooling.
• CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or CISMP certifications are preferred.
