Salary: $180,000 - $250,000 /year + bonus

What you will do

• Build recurring reports on consumer finances using internal data to inform news media and policy organizations.
• Create blog posts and talking points linking data insights to current economic trends and regulatory issues.
• Analyze aggregate user data to uncover trends relevant to a general audience.
• Coordinate data-driven PR requests to ensure accurate representation in media coverage.
• Represent the company at industry events and collaborate with legal teams for compliance.
• Maintain relationships with news and public research organizations to drive public conversation.

Requirements

• Must be based in Washington, D.C.
• 8+ years of experience in data science, economics, statistics, or analytics, preferably in the fintech sector.
• 5+ years of experience using data to drive public conversation for a public company or advocacy organization.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets, ensuring repeatability and transparency.
• Deep understanding of inferential statistical methods and survey/sampling techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for public dissemination and media interaction.

Nice to have

• Experience in policy advocacy or working with regulatory or legal bodies.
• Track record of published articles, blog posts, or media appearances on financial topics.
• Experience sharing anonymized data with academic researchers.
• Public speaking experience at conferences or for media.
