Lead AI Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build and grow the AI Enablement crew, providing technical direction, delivery, and people management.
• Own the architecture for internal AI tooling, including agents, assistants, shared frameworks, and company system integrations.
• Deliver function-tailored AI solutions in partnership with various departments from discovery through production deployment.
• Drive the AI software factory for engineering by codifying architectural principles into AI-assisted development rules.
• Establish security guardrails and responsible-AI practices for data privacy and access control.
• Define and track success metrics for internal AI adoption, including usage, automated workflows, and ROI.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience designing and operating production systems end-to-end.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Golang.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered products, agents, or AI tooling to production.
• Experience leading engineering projects as a tech lead, lead engineer, or engineering manager.
• Strong background in systems integration, connecting products to third-party SaaS and internal data via APIs.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD, and observability for production systems.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal tooling, platform, or enablement teams (DevEx).
• Familiarity with agent frameworks, MCP-style tool interfaces, and multi-agent systems.
• Experience with LLM evaluation, observability, and cost management of AI workloads.
• Experience introducing AI-assisted development practices to engineering organizations.
• Experience working in a scale-up environment.
