Location: Hybrid in Gif-sur-Yvette, France (weekly homeworking allowed)

What you will do

• Define and execute the Algorithm & AI approach, including the vision for Generative AI to drive scientific breakthroughs.
• Lead the end-to-end AI product lifecycle, from designing advanced algorithms to industrial scaling using MLOps best practices.
• Manage, mentor, and provide technical leadership to the Data Scientist and Data Analyst teams.
• Establish AI and GenAI governance guidelines to mitigate risks and ensure robust, ethically sound products.
• Conduct technological watch and foster collaboration with universities, external labs, and internal R&I teams.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data science and 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, Generative AI, NLP, and RAG.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, data engineering tools, and MLOps frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software engineering (CI/CD, clean code, code packaging).
• Must be based in or be able to work from Gif-sur-Yvette, France.

Nice to have

• Experience in biology and food sciences.
