What you will do

• Produce breaking news, original stories, and daily coverage across radio, digital, and social platforms.
• Create engaging short and longform video content with a focus on YouTube performance.
• Report live on-air and produce self-shot video pieces for regional bulletins.
• Develop exclusive stories and innovative visual treatments for the Midlands newsroom.
• Ensure all content adheres to legal standards and Ofcom regulations.
• Collaborate with the London Newsgathering team to set the regional news agenda.

Requirements

• Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
• Proven experience in multiplatform newsgathering and video production.
• Strong broadcast voice and confident on-air presence.
• Excellent writing skills and deep knowledge of Ofcom regulations.
• Strong local knowledge of the Midlands and an established network of contacts.
• Ability to work flexible hours to cover major breaking news.
