Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 plus £5,441 London Weighting

What you will do

• Maintain, align, and troubleshoot broadcast equipment to ensure facilities meet operational and engineering standards.
• Partner with production teams and resource departments to design and deliver effective broadcast solutions.
• Identify and resolve technical faults quickly to minimize studio downtime and production disruption.
• Drive technical innovation by developing, modifying, and testing equipment and workflows.
• Rig and operate studio equipment, including EVS record servers, vision monitoring systems, and camera shading controls.
• Lead refurbishment projects and provide guidance and supervision to junior staff and trainees.

Requirements

• Significant practical experience or relevant qualifications in broadcast engineering within a TV studio or live production environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of cameras, routers, vision/audio mixers, talkback infrastructure, and computer networks.
• Ability to perform critical assessments of television pictures, waveforms, and audio signal quality.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in London (Television Centre & Elstree Studios).
