What you will do

• Install, maintain, and repair network equipment supporting broadband, mobile, and business communication services.
• Work within exchanges, data centres, and network sites, specifically installing fibre infrastructure.
• Contribute to the maintenance and repair of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G radio networks across diverse environments.
• Perform on-site risk assessments and strictly adhere to Health & Safety standards and the BT Health & Safety Handbook.
• Supervise third-party contractors on site and take ownership of critical network repair and maintenance activities.
• Complete the Technician Development Portfolio and engage in continuous technical upskilling.

Requirements

• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to fulfill physical requirements: bending, stretching, kneeling, crouching, and climbing tower structures.
• Ability to recognize coloured wiring and lift heavy drums and cables.
• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly across various methods and locations.
• Self-starting mindset with the ability to use initiative to drive actions for the team.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet regional objectives.

• ICT literacy, specifically confidence with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and reflection.
• Experience in coaching or supervising less skilled engineers on the job.
