What you will do

• Own the end-to-end fraud strategy for the new card issuance program from pre-launch to steady-state.
• Design and implement authorization decisioning models, including velocity limits, step-up authentication, and cross-account linkage.
• Monitor and maintain network-level fraud and dispute ratios to ensure compliance with Visa/Mastercard thresholds.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed fraud controls directly into the card issuance and wallet funding flows.
• Use SQL and BigQuery to analyze transaction data, backtest thresholds, and iterate on fraud controls.
• Manage vendor relationships regarding fraud requirements and area-of-responsibility splits.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in fraud/risk strategy with direct card authorization decisioning expertise.
• Advanced SQL proficiency is a hard requirement.
• Deep understanding of card network mechanics, including 3DS/SCA, clearing/settlement, and dispute reason codes.
• Experience working with BaaS or card issuing vendors like Stripe Issuing, Marqeta, or Galileo.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Advanced English proficiency required.

• Prior experience with card issuing at a fintech or program manager.
• Familiarity with stablecoin-backed card programs or crypto.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
• Background in cross-border remittance or LATAM-market fraud.
