Sustainability AI Lead (ESG): Acting as the domain authority for AI-powered sustainability offerings, you will partner with AI agents to deliver regulator-ready GHG inventories, carbon footprints, and decarbonization strategies. Focus on ensuring the technical quality, regulatory defensibility, and audit-readiness of AI-generated sustainability consulting while continuously refining AI models through expert knowledge.

Location: Must be based in Canada (Calgary or remote). Hybrid options available for specific global offices (NY, SF, Munich).

Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 + Equity + Bonus

What you will do

• Partner with AI agents to deliver sustainability intelligence, GHG inventories, and Scope 1-3 emissions calculations.
• Advise executive leadership, CFOs, and auditors on climate disclosures and sustainability reporting.
• Analyze complex operational datasets to develop accurate, audit-ready sustainability calculations.
• Ensure documentation, traceability, and defensible methodologies meet third-party assurance expectations.
• Continuously improve AI performance by refining prompts, creating evaluation datasets, and developing validation rules.
• Contribute to thought leadership through webinars, blogs, and industry workshops.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 4–8 years of sustainability consulting experience at a major firm.
• Deep knowledge of GHG Protocol and frameworks like CSRD, ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and SBTi.
• Hands-on experience building GHG inventories and performing emissions calculations.
• Extensive use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini for prototyping and analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with EU Taxonomy or California climate regulations.
