What you will do

• Conduct audits against domestic seafood assurance schemes and MSC Chain of Custody requirements.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver audits in compliance with accreditation and scheme requirements.
• Produce high-quality audit reports and technical documentation within agreed timescales.
• Assess client compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain technical competence and knowledge of seafood industry developments.
• Build professional client relationships while maintaining auditor independence and impartiality.

Requirements

• Proven experience auditing within the seafood industry.
• Demonstrable experience conducting MSC Chain of Custody (CoC) audits.
• Strong understanding of seafood supply chains, traceability, and chain of custody principles.
• Practical knowledge of seafood processing, handling, storage, and distribution operations.
• Auditor qualification or experience against recognized management system or product certification standards.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout Scotland.

Nice to have

• Experience auditing fisheries, aquaculture, or seafood processing operations.
• Knowledge of additional seafood assurance standards and schemes.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Fisheries Science, Food Science, Marine Biology, or a related discipline.
• Lead Auditor qualification.
