What you will do

• Review and validate label review staff work for accuracy and compliance with US and Canadian regulations, guidelines, and policies.
• Interview, hire, and manage label review staff; provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to expand regulatory knowledge.
• Review nutritional labels and deliver written results to clients and/or upload results into the client database as required.
• Communicate with clients to answer technical questions about label review and applicable regulations.
• Stay current on updated food labeling regulations and train staff accordingly.
• Create and oversee label review department processes; identify quality issues, initiate investigations, and drive corrective actions and follow-up.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related science field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in food labeling, data reporting, technical requirements, and food regulations.
• Highly knowledgeable in US and Canadian food labeling regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of LIMS systems.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, professional environment.
