Risk Management Intern (AI)

TL;DR

Risk Management Intern (AI): Supporting utility-scale energy projects through quantitative risk analysis and AI-driven automation with an accent on Cost-Schedule Risk Analysis (CSRA) and Monte Carlo simulations. Focus on building and deploying an AI Risk Assistant to scale risk management workflows across the department.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Rotterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid)

Salary: €675 per month

What you will do

• Maintain and improve project risk registers for battery storage, offshore wind, and industrial assets.
• Facilitate risk identification workshops and track mitigation actions with project teams.
• Perform Cost-Schedule Risk Analysis (CSRA) using stochastic modelling and Monte Carlo simulations.
• Develop probabilistic cost and schedule forecasts (P50/P80/P90).
• Prototype and deploy an AI Risk Assistant using Python and Copilot Studio.
• Document models and workflows to improve departmental automation capabilities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an MSc degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, AI, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy).
• Interest in stochastic modelling, uncertainty analysis, and agentic AI workflows.
• Ability to bridge technical modelling with stakeholder collaboration.
• Strong English communication skills required.
• Must be available for a 6-month internship in Rotterdam.
