What you will do

• Own and implement information security measures and policies end-to-end, from proposal to continuous improvement.
• Maintain the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and oversee ISO 27001 audits.
• Drive annual IT audits as part of mandatory financial audits.
• Communicate security goals and provide awareness training to colleagues across the company.
• Verify third-party supplier security and analyze incidents to implement preventive measures.
• Lead and develop a security specialist while actively using AI tools to increase functional value.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in information security.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical engineers and leadership.
• Demonstrable, current use of AI tools in professional work with real impact.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid or on-site capacity in Leiden, Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, or CISM.
• Experience in penetration and vulnerability testing.
• Understanding of Python programming and software development workflows.
