Sr. Engineer - Falcon NG-SIEM, Serverless Cell Platform (Cybersecurity)

Sr. Engineer (SRE/Platform): Ensuring the health, performance, and reliability of the NG-SIEM cell infrastructure for a global cybersecurity platform with an accent on automation, self-healing systems, and large-scale distributed systems. Focus on developing Go microservices to reduce operational toil and scaling the industry's largest SIEM platform to handle hundreds of petabytes per day.

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain the health and reliability of LogScale cells, responding to incidents in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation.
• Execute ring-based rollouts for cluster and microservice upgrades, deploying patches and recovering failed cells.
• Implement monitoring systems with defined SLIs, alerting, and operational dashboards for root cause analysis.
• Develop Go microservices and automation scripts to transform manual procedures into self-healing workflows.
• Collaborate with product engineering and customer support to resolve production issues and coordinate platform changes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations managing large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java for writing automation and microservices.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, OCI, or GCP) and IaC tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Strong expertise in capacity planning and resource optimization for large-scale infrastructure.
• Must be based in Australia.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms and distributed data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
• Background in cybersecurity, security operations, or SIEM platforms.
• Track record of building self-healing infrastructure to reduce operational toil.
