What you will do

• Collaborate with Legal leadership to identify and prioritize high-impact automation opportunities.
• Architect production-grade AI systems featuring observability, auditability, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Own the Legal automation roadmap in partnership with the VP of Legal and CCO.
• Define the build-vs-buy strategy for legal tooling and internal integrations.
• Serve as a technical thought partner to Legal leadership to align engineering priorities and manage risks.

Requirements

• 12+ years of backend software engineering experience shipping production systems at scale.
• Proven experience deploying LLM-based applications with evaluation frameworks and hallucination guardrails.
• Expertise in multi-agent orchestration and designing collaborative AI systems.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, document processing, and audit trails.
• Ability to translate non-technical workflows into engineering requirements and platform primitives.
• Must be based in or eligible to work in the US (indicated by US-specific benefits and legal notices).
