What you will do

• Lead backend engineering teams responsible for trust, fraud prevention, and risk-related services.
• Translate business and product priorities into actionable technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Drive architectural direction and lead system-design reviews to ensure scalability and security.
• Remain hands-on by reviewing code, creating prototypes, and resolving complex production issues.
• Modernize existing services to address technical debt and scalability constraints.
• Implement AI-assisted software development practices to improve engineering productivity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant people management.
• Proven track record of leading multiple backend teams and delivering platforms at scale.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and site reliability engineering.
• Experience building systems for sensitive data, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in fraud prevention, risk management, digital banking, payments, or AML.
