What you will do

• Design architectures and write RFCs for platform, reliability, and infrastructure initiatives with company-wide impact.
• Maintain hands-on credibility by shipping scalable, reliable, and cost-effective services.
• Partner with Product and Engineering Directors to scope and size large platform initiatives across multiple teams.
• Collaborate with other Principal Engineers to define and evolve the architectural vision and tech radar.
• Set and advocate for company-wide standards regarding operational excellence, observability, and incident response.
• Mentor and coach engineers up to Staff level across the entire organization.

Requirements

• Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, reliable cloud-based infrastructure and platform services.
• Deep expertise managing Kubernetes production clusters at scale, including lifecycle, security (RBAC), and networking.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and modern GitOps practices.
• Strong software engineering foundations, preferably with experience in Go.
• Operational experience with Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Istio.
• Strong understanding of SLOs, alerting, and FinOps for large-scale systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with NodeJS.
• Familiarity with LLMOps, including model gateways (LiteLLM) and experiment tracking (MLflow).
