What you will do

• Manage day-to-day lab operations, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
• Implement and maintain SOPs and Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
• Oversee the calibration, maintenance, repair, and procurement of laboratory equipment.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise laboratory technicians, conducting performance evaluations and training.
• Supervise and perform geotechnical tests, including soil classification, permeability, and compression strength testing.
• Prepare and approve technical reports, ensuring accurate data entry and recordkeeping in laboratory systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a geotechnical laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and other international geotechnical testing standards.
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office.
• Proven experience in laboratory management and team supervision.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications in geotechnical testing, quality systems, or lab management.
• Experience working within ISO-accredited laboratory environments.
• Familiarity with laboratory accreditation and audit processes.
