What you will do

• Take full ownership of backend services from design through production, including testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems.
• Refactor existing functionality to maintain high engineering standards and performance.
• Solve complex product and technical challenges using pragmatic engineering judgment.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude, to accelerate the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and engineers within an Agile (Scrum) framework.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of professional experience as a Node.js Backend Software Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Node.js software design, asynchronous programming, and streams.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and client-server communication.
• Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with message brokers like Kafka or Google Pub/Sub.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability in production environments.
