Salary: $145,000 – $230,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Ship full-stack features end-to-end, owning the process from design through production and tracking key metrics.
• Build and maintain reliable Python backend services at a scale of 6 million daily active users.
• Collaborate with PMs and design to make product decisions and optimize feature scope for fast delivery.
• Ensure system health and reliability to protect team velocity as the product scales.
• Define technical direction and architecture for led projects and work sequencing.
• Mentor the team and raise engineering standards via code reviews and design feedback.

Requirements

• Proven experience shipping full-stack features from problem definition to production.
• Strong backend development skills using Python.
• Product-oriented mindset with the ability to make scope tradeoffs and define success.
• Experience raising the technical level of a team through architecture or mentoring.
• Ability to move fast while maintaining a high technical bar.
• Must be based in San Francisco for a hybrid (3 days/week) office arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience with React or similar modern frontend frameworks.
• Background working in high-growth startups with high ambiguity.
• Experience owning an entire feature area or product surface.
