What you will do
- Design a mixed-methods evidence synthesis protocol and analytical framework.
- Conduct a comprehensive portfolio and document review of global, regional, and country-level WASH strategies.
- Perform quantitative analysis of WASH datasets including JMP, GLAAS, and sector finance data.
- Develop evidence-rich country case studies mapping inputs to system changes.
- Conduct key informant interviews with global, regional, and country staff and partners.
- Synthesize findings into actionable knowledge products and a practical methodology guide for country offices.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in water and sanitation, public policy, development studies, economics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in WASH systems strengthening, governance, policy, or M&E.
- Proven ability to conduct evidence syntheses, evaluations, or contribution analysis.
- Strong knowledge of WASH sector monitoring, including SDG 6.1/6.2 indicators and JMP datasets.
- Professional working proficiency in English with excellent writing skills for strategic reports.
- Experience working with governments and partners in low- and middle-income countries.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with RAM, Core Standard Indicators, and donor reporting processes.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboards for non-technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic, or another UN language.
- Previous experience with UN agencies, SWA, WHO, or World Bank.
