What you will do

• Inspect, repair, and maintain diesel locomotive engines and mechanical components, including running gears and brake rigging.
• Test and restore brake systems, safety appliances, air compressors, fuel systems, and radiators.
• Install, disassemble, and replace locomotive diesel engine components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and diagnose malfunctions in diesel engines and air equipment.
• Operate within a safety-sensitive environment, often exposed to extreme weather conditions and heavy machinery.

Requirements

• Employment authorization without sponsorship (no H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN status).
• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location in Havre, MT.
• Minimum 18 years of age and a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at various heights.
• English proficiency for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Ability to visually distinguish colors and differentiate between verbal and non-verbal sounds.
