What you will do

• Own the visual design direction for the design system, including color, type, spacing, and motion.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of components, templates, and layout patterns.
• Build accessibility into the system from the start, ensuring compliance with WCAG standards and high-contrast support.
• Own the evolution of design tokens and foundational styling to ensure a cohesive, scalable UI.
• Partner with the Design Technologist to optimize Figma-to-code workflows and AI prototyping tools.
• Mentor and coach designers across the team on systems thinking and high-level craft.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience, with significant time owning or co-owning design systems at scale.
• Exceptional modern visual design craft with strong, well-reasoned opinions on typography and layout.
• Solid working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and experience implementing accessible components.
• Proven ability to partner with engineering on implementation tradeoffs and component APIs.
• Portfolio demonstrating design system work, guidance documentation, and shipped product outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience collaborating on AI-assisted prototyping and Figma ↔ code workflows.
