Battery Build Technician (EV)

TL;DR

Battery Build Technician (EV): Producing battery modules and packs for a medium-duty EV platform with an accent on prototype assembly and production scaling. Location: Onsite in Garden Grove, CA

Salary: $25 - $32 USD per hour

What you will do

• Build prototype sample battery modules and packs, mastering all elements of battery production.
• Train the next wave of Battery Production Associates for prototype and production-level packs.
• Establish work instructions and define quality control points for the production process.
• Implement tiered boards to monitor Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People Development.
• Optimize workstations to eliminate safety and ergonomic hazards.
• Collaborate with Production and Design teams to root cause and eliminate throughput and quality issues.

Requirements

• Experience creating and following instructions for building complex assemblies with precision.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, stand, crouch, and work in tight spaces.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other systems for work instruction creation.
• English communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work 2nd shift (4:30pm - 1:00am).
