Salary: CA$130K–CA$170K (Canada) or $160K–$200K (US) + $15.5K Bonus

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain core web and mobile application features from backend to frontend.
• Solve complex engineering problems related to scale, concurrency, and data ingestion.
• Integrate and maintain third-party tools and services to ensure platform reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Care, and Finance teams to scope and deliver new features.
• Strengthen the development pod through code reviews, pairing, and mentorship.
• Use AI to streamline development processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada or the U.S.
• 4+ years of hands-on Ruby on Rails experience with production applications.
• Solid front-end fundamentals with experience in React or React Native.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills for performance tuning and problem-solving.
• Deep understanding of engineering fundamentals including SOLID principles and domain-driven design.
• Experience with scale, concurrency, and background processing.
