Assistant General Counsel (Adtech)

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Provide practical legal advice to senior executives and cross-functional business teams.
• Supervise attorneys on go-to-market initiatives and collaborate with senior members of the legal team.
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology, commercial, SaaS, privacy, platform vendor, and data provider agreements.
• Lead complex cross-border negotiations with strategic advertising partners.
• Advise product, technology, and commercial teams on evaluating, protecting, and commercializing new products and features.
• Develop and improve standard agreements, legal processes, policies, compliance programs, and training.

Requirements

• Admission to practice law in New York is required.
• At least 6 years of commercial legal experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department.
• Prior experience in adtech and strong client-service skills.
• Experience with global privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
• Strong understanding of technology and the relationship between legal risk, policy, and business strategy.
• Excellent judgment, communication, analytical, writing, project-management, and operational skills.
