What you will do

• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual management and financial accounts, including budget-to-actuals reviews.
• Prepare and submit VARA regulatory reporting packs and serve as the primary point of contact for the regulator.
• Oversee the safeguarding and daily reconciliation of client money and virtual assets held in UAE accounts.
• Maintain reserve asset coverage workbooks to evidence one-to-one reserve coverage of client liabilities.
• Develop the finance function's control environment, risk register, and client asset safeguarding procedures.
• Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including UAE banks and custodians.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in financial services, ideally within a VARA-regulated or similar digital-asset regime.
• Proven track record in safeguarding, custody, or client money control environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience in Group reporting roles focusing on financial and external regulatory reporting.
• Must be based in or associated with the UAE jurisdiction for the VARA-regulated entity.

• Understanding of virtual assets, blockchain technology, and wallet/custody infrastructure.
