What you will do

• Contribute to Wi-Fi and cellular stacks to enhance connectivity for NLOS terrestrial and aerial systems.
• Integrate radio hardware into drone systems and develop software for Linux user space and the driver layer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional RF, systems, device software, and cloud engineering teams.
• Build software routines to extract and log radio/link statistics (RSSI, SNR, packet loss) into databases.
• Design and test rate adaptation algorithms for dynamic wireless environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and development tools like Git, debugging, and unit testing.
• Academic or project exposure to wireless communications, networking, or embedded hardware.
• Must be based in or local to Atlanta, GA.

Nice to have

• Experience with wireless standards (802.11/Wi-Fi, 3GPP/5G, or C-V2X).
• Work with microcontrollers, SDR, or single-board computers (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino).
• Low-level Linux programming (sockets, user-space drivers, networking stacks).
• Participation in robotics or UAV design teams.
• Basic understanding of SQL or Python data tools.
