Senior Data Scientist (Python)

Location: Warsaw, Poland. Hybrid work model with part of the week at home and part in the office.

Salary: PLN 154,000–PLN 204,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Define and execute analyses supporting innovation initiatives, methodologies, standards, and KPIs.
• Prototype and pilot solutions for trend analysis, sampling, bias reduction, indirect estimation, data integration, automation, and generalisation.
• Develop scalable data processing applications using test-driven development.
• Document new methodologies, technical approaches, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Developers, Data Scientists, Operations teams, and other stakeholders on project scope, data exchange, execution, and outcomes.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Social Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Physics, or another hard science.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with trend analysis, multivariate statistics, sampling, optimisation, bias reduction, indirect estimation, data aggregation, automation, and generalisation.
• Strong Python skills, including Pandas, Polars, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, the standard library, unittest, and argparse.
• Experience with Apache Spark or other big data processing solutions, cloud computing and storage, preferably Microsoft Azure, and analysis of large datasets.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; hybrid work in Warsaw, Poland.

Nice to have

• Experience with NIQ methodologies, data collection, platforms, research processes, and operations.
• Experience with machine learning, deep learning, TensorFlow, PyTorch, GenAI, AgenticAI, and LLM-based solutions.
• Experience with Docker and the Linux command line.
