Network Engineer

What you will do

• Lead enterprise network projects from design through implementation, taking end-to-end ownership of solutions.
• Design and deliver routing, switching, firewall, wireless, campus, and data centre network architectures.
• Produce low-level designs, implementation and migration plans, configuration baselines, network diagrams, test results, and handover documentation.
• Deploy, configure, test, optimise, and troubleshoot network infrastructure in controlled project and operational environments.
• Validate designs through hands-on builds, proof-of-concepts, lab testing, rehearsals, and production implementation.
• Collaborate with project managers, security teams, customers, and technical stakeholders on design reviews, governance, and technical decisions.

Requirements

• Strong enterprise networking experience covering project delivery, implementation, and design.
• Cisco networking expertise at CCNP/CCIE level or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of campus and data centre architectures, including Cisco Nexus, VXLAN, VPC, Catalyst 9000, StackWise Virtual, Cisco ACI, and wireless platforms.
• Experience with routing and network services including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VLANs, HSRP/VRRP, multicast, IPSec VPNs, and Cisco SD-WAN.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, customer communication, and delivery skills.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure and AWS, plus automation using Ansible and Python.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Prisma Access, SASE, Cisco Secure Connect, Cisco ISE, Meraki, Aruba, and HP platforms.
• Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, utilities, oil and gas, defence, or OT.
• Experience integrating network infrastructure with VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper-V environments.
