Enterprise Data Architect

TL;DR

Enterprise Data Architect (Data Architecture): Define, document, and govern the canonical enterprise data model and architectural standards for an enterprise data platform with an accent on conformed entities, dimensional (Gold) models, and lakehouse/layered patterns. What you will do

• Produce and maintain enterprise data modeling artifacts (ERDs, source-of-truth mappings, grain and relationship documentation) to enable consistent implementation across teams.
• Own and evolve the canonical (enterprise) data model by defining conformed entities and ensuring consistent interpretation across Practice, Growth, and Functional domains.
• Architect and govern the Silver layer canonical model in a Databricks lakehouse / Microsoft Fabric environment, conforming data from Workday, Dynamics 365, and other sources into mastered enterprise entities.
• Design and maintain Gold layer dimensional models (facts, dimensions, measures, hierarchies, grain) for revenue, workforce, pipeline, billing, and financial performance to support analytics and self-service.
• Run architectural design reviews and approvals for new/modified data models, validating adherence to standards, cross-domain compatibility, and downstream usability (semantic models, Power BI, APIs).
• Partner with CDAO, Product Managers, and Data Governance/Security to translate requirements into architecture specifications, maintain ADRs, and align data quality, lineage, classification, access control, and masking patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent education and experience).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data modeling, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead architect capacity.
• Hands-on experience with Kimball-style dimensional modeling, medallion architecture patterns, and semantic layer design at enterprise scale.
• Proven experience in professional services, financial services, or similarly complex industries where production/utilization/WIP/engagement-based financial models are core.
• Experience establishing architectural governance practices (design reviews, architecture decision records, and standards documentation).
