What you will do

• Lead all aspects of data center operations for a two-building AI campus, including staffing, maintenance, and vendor management.
• Build and lead the site organization across facility leadership, engineering, and shift-based support functions.
• Own the site operating budget covering labor, utilities, maintenance, and contracted services.
• Partner through final construction and commissioning phases to ensure operational readiness of critical MEP infrastructure.
• Establish and improve preventive maintenance, incident response, and capacity planning models.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for critical events and senior contact for executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities or data center operations, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience commissioning and operating large-scale or hyperscale data centers at 50MW+ scale.
• Deep technical knowledge of critical MEP systems including switchgear, generators, UPS, and liquid cooling infrastructure.
• Proven success building and leading site operations teams with 24/7 coverage models.
• Strong financial management skills including budget development and vendor negotiation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting AI or HPC infrastructure, including direct liquid cooling or immersion cooling.
• Experience standing up greenfield data center sites from construction through stabilization.
• Familiarity with DCIM, EPMS, and BMS platforms.
• Relevant certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, or a PE license.
