Project Quality Assurance Engineer (Defense)

Location: Hybrid role based at the Cyber Centre of Excellence in Maidenhead, United Kingdom. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain DV Security Clearance and meet UK residency requirements for clearance.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain project and product quality plans aligned with customer, contractual, statutory, regulatory, and business management system requirements.
• Define and manage quality assurance activities through approved quality plans and controls.
• Plan and conduct project, product, and process audits, including audits aligned with AS9101.
• Perform in-process, final, and first article inspections to verify product conformity.
• Manage non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with project, production, process, and stakeholder teams to improve processes, yields, quality performance, and quality culture.

Requirements

• Degree qualification or equivalent verifiable experience in business, quality, software engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Proven quality engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or a similarly regulated sector.
• Qualified internal auditor with experience of AS9100.
• Experience in business improvement environments and recognized improvement frameworks.
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DV Security Clearance; applicants must be British citizens resident in the UK for the past 10 years for DV clearance.

• IRCA-approved Lead Auditor qualification.
