Senior Development Process Assurance Engineer (Aerospace): Providing independent quality assurance oversight for software, electronic hardware, and test equipment software development programs with an accent on regulatory compliance, lifecycle assurance, and risk management. Focus on conducting audits and assessments, evaluating engineering processes, driving corrective actions, and supporting certification of mission-critical aerospace products.
Location: Hybrid – Tewkesbury, United Kingdom; fixed-term position with travel to other locations as required.

What you will do
- Perform independent assessments, audits, and reviews of engineering development activities and work products.
- Evaluate requirements management, systems engineering, design, implementation, verification, validation, configuration management, problem reporting, and change control.
- Identify process gaps, nonconformances, and program risks, then coordinate effective corrective-action closure.
- Monitor quality and process-performance metrics and report compliance status, emerging risks, and process effectiveness to leadership.
- Advise engineering teams and management on development assurance expectations, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Lead awareness and training efforts, support audits, and drive continuous-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 6 years of experience in aerospace product development, development assurance, quality assurance, certification, or regulatory compliance.
- Experience conducting audits, assessments, or compliance reviews against engineering processes and standards.
- Understanding of engineering lifecycle processes, including requirements management, systems engineering, verification and validation, configuration management, problem reporting, and change control.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to identify risks and influence stakeholders across functions.
Nice to have
- Experience with airborne software or airborne electronic hardware development programs.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards including DO-178C, DO-254, and ARP4754.
- Experience with MBSE, requirements management, or modern engineering lifecycle management tools.
- Familiarity with aerospace cybersecurity and Lean or Six Sigma process-improvement methods.
- Advanced degree in a related technical discipline.
