TL;DR
Java Architect (Insurance): Driving the technological direction and architectural design for a long-term insurance industry initiative with an accent on microservices, distributed systems, and Domain-Driven Design. Focus on hands-on coding, mentoring the development team, and integrating cloud-based solutions to ensure system scalability and performance.
Location: Must be based in or able to work from Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote)
Salary: Up to 175 PLN/h (B2B)

What you will do
- Lead a Scrum team in driving technological direction and architectural decision-making.
- Implement business requirements through hands-on Java development.
- Design and scale microservices and distributed system architectures.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and business units to refine technical requirements.
- Enforce technical standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers.
- Utilize Azure cloud services and Agentic AI tools to optimize development productivity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building web systems.
- Strong hands-on programming skills in Java.
- Proven track record with microservices, distributed systems, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Experience with SQL, Event-Driven Architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Fluent Polish and Advanced English (B2+).
- Previous experience in technical leadership and mentoring.
Nice to have
- Practical knowledge of Azure cloud platform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Agentic AI in the software development lifecycle.
