Salary: £47,389 to £56,535

What you will do

• Plan, write, and update distance learning modules using print, audio, video, and computer-mediated communication.
• Prepare tutor-marked assignments, monitor assessments, and serve on Examination and Qualification Boards.
• Engage with students through webinars, e-moderating forums, and research supervision.
• Brief, debrief, and train Associate Lecturers.
• Collaborate on curriculum and assessment strategies tailored to education policies across the four UK nations.
• Conduct research, seek external funding, and contribute to academic publications and conferences.

Requirements

• Higher degree (Masters or above) relating to Education Studies (Primary).
• Relevant experience in Higher Education teaching and assessment.
• Recognized qualification for teaching children aged 3–12 years (e.g., PGCE or PGDE).
• Knowledge and experience in producing distance learning modules.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Ability to live within reasonable commuting distance of Milton Keynes.

Nice to have

• Experience leading numeracy and mathematics teaching for the primary phase.
• Fellowship (or higher) of the Higher Education Academy.
• Experience contributing to external research funding or REF submissions.
