What you will do

• Bridge the gap between infrastructure and orbital analysts to tune and automate compute, storage, and network environments.
• Administer and harden RHEL systems in air-gapped, DISA STIG-compliant environments.
• Configure enterprise virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi) and high-performance shared storage.
• Develop Python 3 tooling for monitoring, alerting, and operational automation.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for disconnected deployments.
• Collaborate with ISSE/ISSO on vulnerability management and patch remediation.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance (ability to upgrade to TS/SCI).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, or software engineering.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or ability to obtain one.
• Strong proficiency in Linux administration and Python 3 scripting.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD concepts, and virtualization (VMware/Red Hat).

Nice to have

• Experience in DoD, USAF, or USSF mission environments.
• Knowledge of DISA STIG / RMF standards and SELinux.
• Familiarity with Ansible and Python scientific libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy).
• Experience with Grafana and message brokers.
