What you will do

• Own end-to-end backend services for prediction markets, from creation and discovery to settlement and payout.
• Design low-latency, high-throughput systems for real-time financial products serving millions of users.
• Maintain system reliability and performance by owning SLOs, observability, and incident response.
• Establish technical standards through code and design reviews while managing critical technical debt.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product, Design, and Compliance teams to execute the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience with production-grade distributed systems.
• Deep proficiency in Go, Ruby, Python, or Java.
• Experience designing microservices, event-driven architectures, and high-availability systems.
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end projects, including architecture, monitoring, and iteration.
• Background in regulated or financial environments where auditability and low-latency are critical.
• Must be based in the USA or Latin America.
