TL;DR
Site Reliability Developer 1 (AWS): Building and optimizing highly scalable, resilient, and automated services for a SaaS financial planning platform with an accent on observability, stability, and security. Focus on implementing infrastructure-as-code, troubleshooting distributed systems, and improving system health through telemetry and monitoring.
Location: Must be based in Canada (Remote, Hybrid, or Onsite in Toronto)
Salary: 85,000 - 115,000 CAD

What you will do
- Support ITIL processes, including incident, request, problem, and change management.
- Define and document runbooks and standard operating procedures for the SaaS platform.
- Triage and solve operational issues within defined SLAs to ensure high customer experience.
- Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Implement and improve infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Participate in an on-call rotation every 2–3 weeks, covering 10am–10pm from Monday through Sunday.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in an IT Operational, DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering role.
- Experience with cloud computing (AWS and Azure) and the management of cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to write production-ready code in any language.
- Experience with tools such as Ansible, Docker, Github, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, observability, and telemetry using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.
